EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN MICHIGAN

Pediatric Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship Opportunity Michigan State University/Flint Area Medical Education (MSU/FAME)
As the first program in the nation to be specialty accredited in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Psychological Association (APA), we are pleased to offer a 24 month long fellowship in association with Michigan State University/Flint Area Medical Education (MSU/FAME) and its three affiliated teaching hospitals - Genesys Regional Medical Center, Hurley Medical Center, and McLaren Regional Medical Center.
MSU/FAME and its three affiliated institutions have come together to form the Consortium for Advanced Psychology Training (CAPT). This Consortium uniquely combines the educational and clinical resources of three major community - based teaching hospitals with the academic resources of a Big Ten University medical school to offer comprehensive training programs in Clinical Health Psychology.  The Consortium allows for the sharing of faculty and resources across each of our three individual institutions. However, when a fellow is accepted into the Consortium, that fellow’s employment and primary training will come from one of the three consortium hospitals, Genesys, Hurley, or McLaren. It is important to note that individual fellows do not rotate between hospitals, although they may have different experiences within one hospital training site. Within each of our institutions, there are a variety of medical residency training programs, medical student programs, and allied health programs. Our fellowship programs are designed to foster collaboration between psychology and medicine within a variety of health care settings.
